Restaurants & Bars

You’ve got five eateries and four bars to choose from the most decadent of which is undoubtedly the Point Revolving Restaurant with views of the Derwent from seventeen stories up and first-class cuisine. If heights aren’t your thing the Pier One Restaurant is a seafood restaurant on the waterfront with a good reputation. There are also three options for lighter dining, as the Coffee Shop Loft Bistro and Riverview Snacks all serve light meals and bar snacks.

You don’t even have to leave the gaming floor to get a drink at Wrest Point, the Casino Bar is located right in the middle of the casino itself. The Onyx is Wrest Point’s sports bar, with full TOTE service and a mega screen, which also has a bar menu from 12-9pm. The Birdcage is the more sophisticated option, this retro bar has been open since 1973 and offers a wide range of cocktails.

All of the bars offer free live entertainment on a regular basis, mostly from local artists and a full schedule is available on the website. They also host international music and comedy acts, boasting names such as Dylan Moran and John Butler.
