Casino Moose Jaw

At just 12,00 square feet, Casino Moose Jaw is a small casino in a town of the same name in Saskatchewan. Moose Jaw is in the south of the county on the Trans Canada Highway, 45 minutes west of Regina, which is accessible by air. There is a small charge for non-members to park but you can also access the casino by coach with either Greyhound Canada or Grey Goose. The Casino is decorated in art-deco style with murals from different points in Moose Jaw’s history covering the exterior of the building. As a smaller casino it is unusually intimate and may make a pleasant change to those accustomed to huge Vegas-style operations.

Games

The casino has over 250 slot machines with the price of a spin ranging from a penny up to $5, with progressive jackpots offering prizes reaching into the thousands of dollars. Because they don’t have as many tables as other casinos in the same group, Moose Jaw concentrate on the guest favourites, blackjack, single zero roulette and three card poker.

Regular poker tournaments are held in the casino on Tuesday and Wednesday and occasionally also a Sunday for a bigger buy-in. Buy-ins typically range from $40-$150 and higher depending on the occasion. The casino also hosts a couple of annual qualifier tournaments with prize funds up to $500,000 so if poker is your thing, Casino Moose Jaw is very good considering its size.
