Kootenai River Inn Casino & Spa
The Kootenai River Inn Casino & Spa is located in the small border town of Bonners Ferry, Idaho. In the extreme northern tip of Idaho, just ten miles or so from the official US-Canada borders, Bonners Ferry was settled in the 19th Century as an echo of the nearby British Columbia gold rush. The Kootenai Tribe, which makes its traditional home in and around Bonners Ferry, operates the Kootenai River Inn Casino & Spa in cooperation with Best Western Hotels.
The area around the casino is beautiful, with large bodies of clear water that swell from winter runoff in the warmer season. Outdoor adventurers, campers, hikers, hunters, and all sorts of recreational types are drawn to the area for its natural beauty and landscape. The Kootenai River Inn Casino & Spa takes advantage of all that natural beauty, combining a hotel and resort with a fully-functioning spa and a 24-hour casino.

Games
As is often the case in American tribal facilities, the main game played at Kootenai River is slots. Hundreds of these games, and their cousins the video poker games, are available around the clock. A small area dedicated to table games like blackjack and roulette is near the slot room. Live poker tournaments are sometimes held on-site, but not with any regularity. Poker fans should check the website or give the casino a call for detailed information about the casino’s poker action.
