CasaBlanca Resort Casino Golf Spa

Mesquite, Nevada is the setting for the CasaBlanca Resort Casino Golf Spa facility. Just 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, situated immediately on the Arizona border, Mesquite was originally a Mormon settlement, built as part of the Mormon migration to Utah and parts west.

Mesquite is a miniature gambling hotspot built in the extreme temperatures of the Nevada desert. Four large casinos, similar to the CasaBlanca Resort Casino, make up the majority of the local economy, with smaller cardrooms and OTB sites dotting the landscape as well.

Games

Table games, slots and video poker, and simulcast race and sports betting are the three types of gambling available to visitors to the CasaBlanca gaming floor.

At the time of this review, the casino is home to some 400 electronic games, including a handful of electronic versions of the classic table games roulette and bingo. The table game selection is more limited, with just over two dozen tables operating Vegas-style games of chance and skill around the clock.

A special “Spin and Win” game is situated throughout the property, offering small cash payouts as well as a large jackpot paid out to any legal-age guest who spins the wheel (for free, once a day per visitor).

Restaurants & Bars

  • Katherine’s – The closest thing to fine dining in all of Mesquite, Katherine’s is a contemporary American upscale café, featuring a buffet for breakfast and lunch styled after the famous buffets of nearby Las Vegas.
  • Hot Dog Cart – More than just a typical hot dog cart, this kiosk eatery also offers convenience foods and snacks, ice cream and other sweet treats, as well as coffee and sundry items.
  • Casa Café – Serving a blend of Tex-Mex, New Mexican food, and traditional Spanish small plate, Casa Café is a sit-down restaurant far less formal than Katherine’s.

Entertainment

A small theatre space is home to CasaBlanca’s weekly live concerts and other events, mostly reunion tours and tribute bands with the occasional comedian or live theatre performance thrown in for variety.

Other Facilities

As the name implies, CasaBlanca is more than just a casino, featuring a 100-room hotel (including a few boutique floors), an 18-hole professional-grade golf course, and a full-service spa. The spa is home to an indoor/outdoor pool facility, a small group of hot tubs and sauna facilities, and a gym/fitness center.
