Angel of the Winds Casino

Arlington, Washington is a distant exurb of Seattle. The population in northern and western Washington is pretty well-defined by its position in relation to Seattle, and suburban sprawl is as evident in this part of the United States as any. Arlington is technically an hour north of downtown Houston, but the metro area has no breaks between downtown and the city of Arlington proper. A visitor probably wouldn’t know they’d left Seattle at all.

Angel of the Winds Casino is a tribal operation in Arlington that exists thanks to exceptions made to Washington law for Native American gaming venues. Angel of the Winds is not like the big hotel complexes operated by tribes in other states, essentially it’s a slot parlor with a few bonus games for good measure.

Games

Since this is a tribal site, it has the right to host table games, electronic games, and even poker and bingo. Unfortunately for poker fans, no live poker tables are currently available. Live dealer tables hosting casino-style poker are available, but that’s not really the same thing. Most of the smallish gaming space is taken up by slots and video poker terminals, but an area is also available with both live and electronic bingo games. Restaurants & Bars

Angel of the Winds operates a cafeteria (with buffets on the weekends) and a coffee shop near the gaming floor which sells pastries in the mornings and ice cream and gelato at night.
