Armenia is located in the western region of Asia and is bordered by Turkey, Iran, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. The country is populated by nearly 3 million people with the local currency being the Dram. It has about four casinos in total throughout the country, one of which resides in the capital city of Yerevan with the others located in Argavan and Paraqar. Most of the casinos offer traditional casino games, such as roulette, blackjack, and poker with the addition of electronic slot machines.
The first casino to open in Armenia was in 1991 after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Whilst gambling is regulated by the government - specifically the Armenian Ministry of Finance - there are currently no licenses for online gaming at the time of writing, however locals may choose to play elsewhere on off-shore sites.
