With the Treasure State’s official motto being “gold and silver,” it is no surprise that Montana was the first state to legalize any type of gambling. There are many different forms of gambling available, however, commercial casinos with Vegas-style games seem to be missing.

Tribal casinos, however, thrive in Montana, offering games, such as craps and blackjack, as well as slots and multi-player poker rooms. Online betting and ‘Internet gambling’ is specifically outlawed and illegal.
