As the Ocean State is only 1,000 square miles large, the state allows each of its 5 counties to create its only gambling laws. Rhode Island, in general, is fairly strict when it comes to gambling, but does offer some sort of legal betting. There is a state lottery, live racing, and charitable gaming but types of bets, et cetera are different across the state, so it really depends on where you are within Rhode Island.
