São Tomé and Príncipe is an island-nation in the Gulf of Guinea, consisting of the two archipelagos: São Tomé and Príncipe. Portuguese is the main language spoken with over 98% of the population speaking it as their native language.

With regards to gambling, the country has the one casino located within a hotel resort in São Tomé, offering blackjack and slots only. Online gambling is also mentioned in the country's legislation, however, sites must be operated by a casino that also holds a land based license, so there does not appear to be any at present with locals opting to use foreign sites for their gaming platforms.
