Bordered by Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam, Cambodia offers around 15 different gambling locations with more on their way, as Cambodia has recently amended the gambling laws to attract big operators. All of the locations currently in operation are ‘casino resorts’ within hotels with most open 24-hours a day.

The casinos are for tourists only, however, as locals are not legally allowed to gamble – a law that Cambodia may soon revise. However, despite the rules, gambling is widespread throughout the country, as men who do not gamble are often viewed as 'not masculine'. Online gambling is also illegal under government legislation for citizens living in Cambodia, however, they are allowed to play on government sponsored sites, including the national lottery.
