Restaurants & Bars

Within the complex there are four bars and four restaurants catering to a variety of needs. The award winning Tamarind restaurant offers an exclusive fine dining experience or if you’re after something a bit simpler the Flinders Bar and Grill offers good variety and value. Other than that, there are two Chinese restaurants, the more authentic Cafe China and its noodle bar for quick and easy Asian snacks.

For drinking, you have the Lihou bar on the casino floor which offers table service while you gamble or if you want to get away from the action the bar in Flinders is a very good option. For sports fans there’s the Casino Sports Arena which takes up an entire floor and offers full TAB and Keno services as well as the largest indoor LED screen in Queensland to take in all the action. For something completely different, the Vertigo Cocktails Bar & Lounge is the complex’s premier venue and meeting place.

Every Thursday to Sunday, Vertigo opens its dance floor for four nights of live music with themes ranging from karaoke to Latin dancing to local live bands. The Velvet Underground nightclub has a different scene on each of its levels with a jazz and piano bar on the top floor and a dance floor and DJ booth underneath.

Many of the hotel’s rooms come equipped with Jacuzzi hot tubs and private garden balconies. You can also visit the rooftop swimming pool and enclosed Wildlife Dome.
