The Big M Casino Fort Myers Beach

The Big M Casino Fort Meyers Beach is one of two branches of the same casino boat company that operates legally in Florida and South Carolina, two states where legal gaming is more like a rare privilege than a luxury. The Big M casino line was originally located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, but moved to Fort Meyers Beach when Florida allowed offshore gambling on boats.

Fort Meyers Beach is not only a college town, it’s a town with a significant military presence, a somewhat young town with a high GDP, and a tourist attraction. It’s the perfect spot for a casino boat operating in this fashion, combining Vegas-style buffet food and drinks with casino gambling. In the case of the Fort Meyers Beach location, it has a bit more competition than the Big M in South Carolina, so specials and incentives are easy to find, such as BOGO entry passes on alternating weekends, etc.

Games

Six table games (two forms of blackjack, craps, roulette, Let It Ride, 3-card poker) and a couple of hundred slots and video poker machines make up the vast majority of the gambling options on either Big M gambling boat. The Big M Fort Meyers Beach occasionally hosts private events for poker tournament players, and has hosted its own tournaments (poker and other games) in the past, but these aren’t regular events.

Restaurants & Bars

During the five hour cruise (depending on the time), a couple of meals are likely to be served, buffet-style, by the ship’s cooking staff. Breakfast / brunch and lunch are served on early cruises, while late cruisers can have dinner and/or a special late breakfast buffet.
