Bally's Atlantic City

Bally’s Atlantic City is the South Jersey version of the popular Bally’s line of casino properties. Atlantic City is the second best-known American gambling venue after Las Vegas. AC, as it is known locally, paved the way for casino gambling in the 1970s as a way to increase tourist traffic to the area, once a playground for the rich and famous perhaps more ostentatious than present-day Vegas.

Bally’s is owned by the Caesar’s Entertainment Group, which runs several Bally’s-branded properties across the US and in parts of Canada. Located at the intersection of Boardwalk and Park Place (made famous by Hasbro’s Monopoly board game), Bally’s AC was one of the first big casinos in New Jersey. It’s 2000 rooms makes it (still) one of the largest.
