Blue Wolf Casino

Blue Wolf Casino is one of a small number of miniature gambling venues located in Fargo, North Dakota. Because of state gaming law, it is only legal to operate a few specific games, so Blue Wolf is a small operation located inside a large and popular restaurant and bar called Cactus Jack’s Saloon.

Located just off I-29 near downtown Fargo, Blue Wolf is the biggest gambling property in this region of one of America’s northern-most states. Sandwiched between a major bingo parlor and another smaller casino, Blue Wolf makes up part of what could be called Fargo’s “Strip.”

Games

Eight gaming tables are open every day at Blue Wolf, all of them dealing games of blackjack. No other table games are provided, in part because so few other table games are explicitly legal by state law.

Other betting options are available, mainly bingo (live only) and pull tabs. A paddlewheel game is also on the premises, though its payouts are strictly limited to a maximum of $680 by North Dakota law. Lottery sales are also permitted, though it is unclear at the time of this review if tickets and scratch cards are being sold on-site.

Restaurants & Bars

Since Blue Wolf is located inside Cactus Jack’s Saloon, it could be said that the whole property is a restaurant and bar. Cactus Jack’s serves typical American food, and has a massive bar. But inside the Blue Wolf gaming area there is a snack bar serving pizza and other convenience foods for gambling customers.
