Legendary Waters Resort & Casino

The Legendary Waters Resort & Casino is a tribal operation in the unincorporated town of Red Cliff, Wisconsin. Red Cliff is a small collection of mostly Native American homes near the incorporated city of Bayfield, Wisconsin, and is also the traditional home of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.

The Red Cliff Band of Chippewa operate Legendary Waters Resort & Casino, making it immune from most state laws in Wisconsin banning casino gambling for profit. Legendary Waters is an interesting casino for a few reason – it has a large game collection for a little Midwestern tribal casino for one. Another cool fact about the casino is that it operates 100% on wind power, making it uniquely green among all American gambling establishments.

Games

Slot machines and video poker are of course the focus of all gaming at Legendary Waters – they’re the most popular games, and for good reason. Hundreds of these entertaining and potentially lucrative games are available on the Legendary Waters’ gaming floor. Table games include multiple version of casino-style poker, blackjack, and a separate poker room for head to head games and tournaments.

All casino games (including live poker and table games) are available from 4 PM to midnight every day of the year. This limited number of hours isn’t unheard of for tribal casinos in the States, but it isn’t exactly common.

Restaurants & Bars

There is no bar service available on site, due to county restrictions. All dining takes place inside a large cafeteria-like room, with buffet service or a traditional menu featuring plated meals. The restaurant is open from 4 PM to midnight, following the hours of the casino, and serves breakfast all day.

Other Facilities

An attached RV site, partially wild camp site, marina, and hotel and resort complex makes Legendary Waters much more than just a casino. For outdoorsy types that also like a little bit of video poker action, a spot like this casino in Native Wisconsin is a perfect fit.
